1. Per Article 24, Paragraph 4 (first section) of the university's Work Regulations for Personnel Subject to the Labor Standards Act, overtime work must be pre-assigned by supervisors based on actual business needs. Therefore, project personnel must obtain prior assignment and approval from the principal investigator (PI) before working overtime. In cases of urgent, unexpected situations requiring immediate overtime, project personnel may explain the reasons via LINE to seek prior consent from the project PI/unit supervisor. A formal overtime application form must then be submitted within three working days to complete the process.
  2. Under the resumed two-stage application process, project personnel authorized for overtime by the project PI or supervisor must first complete the "Overtime Application Form" before working overtime. Upon approval, overtime hours worked within the authorized amount should be reported using the "Compensatory Time/Overtime Pay Application Form," along with the approved overtime application form and attendance records (clock-in/out on the overtime day). These documents must be submitted by the 5th of the following month for review and filing by the project PI/unit supervisor after appoval.
  3. The updated application forms and procedures are available on the Human Resources Office website (Human Resources Office → Project Personnel → Attendance/Salary section). Please download the new forms and review the notes and instructions at the bottom of the forms before submitting applications.
  4. The application forms are available in two versions depending on whether they require review by the Human Resources Office:
    • Non-HR Submission Version: Exclusively for project personnel under the Higher Education Sprout Project, Student Affairs Office’s projects, or Office for Industry-Academia Collaboration’s projects.
    • HR Submission Version: Required for all other project personnel.
