Where a teacher or employee needs to take care of personal matters, personal leave may be granted, provided that the aggregate number of days of personal leave taken must not exceed 14 days per year.
In the event that a family member needs to take the vaccination, has a serious disease, or has other major matters that a teacher or employee must personally deal with, he or she can take up to 7 days of family care leave per year, and the number of this leave shall be incorporated into personal leave.
Where the aggregate number of days of personal and family care leave taken in a year exceeds 7 days, wages will be deducted on a daily basis.

Sick

Where a teacher or employee is required to be treated medically or to rest for injury, sickness, or medical reasons, sick leave may be granted pursuant to the provisions below.
(i) Where the person is not hospitalized, the aggregate number of permitted days of sick leave may not exceed 30 days in a year.
(ii) Where the person is hospitalized, the aggregate number of permitted days of sick leave may not exceed 1 year within a period of 2 years. 
(iii) The aggregate number of permitted days of sick leave for non-hospitalization and hospitalization may not exceed 1 year within a period of 2 years.
Female teachers or employees having difficulties in performing their work during the menstruation period may request 1-day menstrual leave each month. If the cumulative menstrual leaves do not exceed 3 days in a year, said leaves shall not be counted toward days off for sick leave. All additional menstrual leaves shall be counted toward days off for sick leave.
Where the aggregate number of days of (prolonged) sick leave taken in a year exceeds 6 months, wages will be deducted on a daily basis.

Wedding

Wedding leave shall be completed within 3 months of the 10th day before the wedding registration. If a special case is approved, the leave shall be completed within 1 year after the wedding registration.

Assisted Reproductive Leave 7 days Female faculty and staff undergoing assisted reproductive treatment are entitled to seven days of leave each year for this purpose, which can be taken in multiple segments. diagnosis certificate from an assisted reproductive institution approved by the Ministry of Health and Welfare

Pre-Maternity

Female teachers or employees may request pre-maternity leave for pregnancy checkups.

For pregnancy less than 12 weeks: 14 days
For pregnancy over 12 weeks but less than 20 weeks: 21 days
For pregnancy over 20 weeks: 42 days
The calculation of the number of days includes the 12 summer appreciation days off granted by the university and excludes regular days off, rest days, and national holidays. This leave should be applied for not later than the delivery day unless the delivery day falls on one of the aforementioned excludable days.

Except that the pregnancy checkup leave shall only be applicable during the gestation period of the spouses, teachers/employees shall have paternity leave during a 15-day window before and after the day their spouses are in labor.

Both male and female teachers/employees with children under 3 years old can take 6 months to 2 years of child-rearing leave without pay.
The duration of unpaid parental leave for raising child(ren) shall not be, in principle, less than six months each time. If a teacher/employee needs to take the leave for less than six months, he/she may apply for the leave persisting for no less than 30 days for a maximum of two times.

Funeral leave shall be completed within 100 days after the death.

Where a teacher/employee must be granted leave for public affairs pursuant to laws, regulations, or official business, he or she is to be granted leave according to the actual number of days required.
Where a teacher/employee is injured, disabled, or sick as a result of an occupational accident, he or she is to be granted leave during the period of medical treatment or rest.
