Those on approved secondment and obligated to return for teaching during the leave without pay may claim up to a maximum of two years for seniority when applying for promotion.

Upon completion of the secondment, the seniority during the leave without pay and the years of service with excellent performance before and after the secondment are eligible for combined consideration for salary and allowance increases on an academic yearly basis.

If the secondment does not exceed 4 years, seniority can be accumulated. If the secondment exceeds 4 years, the portion beyond 4 years cannot be acknowledged.

Seniority can be accumulated for those on secondment to private schools and follow the regulations to participate in the private school retirement fund.

保險(公保)Insurance (Government Employees' & School Staffs' Insurance)

KMU should cancel the insurance, while the secondment unit should process insurance enrollment, instead. Seniority is not interrupted if temporarily transferred to an organization covered by Government Employees' & School Staff's Insurance.

1. During the secondment, the seniority for serving as a teacher, government official, or full-time staff member on the establishment staff can count for service medals.
2. The seniority during a secondment to a foundation or private organization is not counted.
3. Does not apply to project teachers.

資深優良教師Distinguished Senior Teacher

Full-time qualified teachers who are on secondment to or support administrative agencies or schools during their service period, engaged in education-related work, or still return to school for actual teaching can accumulate seniority during the secondment or support period.

Without situations stated in the left column, seniority shall not be acknowledged.
