Please be advised that in accordance with the provision of the "Terms for Hiring Contract Assistants in NSTC-Granted Research Projects" Article 4, Subparagraph 3, and based on the feedback from the site inspection committee of the National Science and Technology Council held on November 29-30, 2022, temporary workers’ wages should be paid on a daily or hourly basis.
Accordingly, for those in the "Temporary Worker" category under the work type in the "T.G.1.01 Contract (Appointment Letter) Data Maintenance" program of the university's Information Service System, the salary category can no longer be "monthly salary" as per the above-mentioned regulation. Only "daily wage" or "hourly wage" can be selected, and the monthly wages will be calculated based on the actual working hours within the agreed total hours.
The operation methods before and after the amendment are as follows:
(a) Original Operation Method:
For those with employment durations of less than one month, the salary category should be "daily wage," and labor insurance should be on a daily basis.
For those with one month or more employment, the salary category should be "monthly salary," and labor insurance should be on a monthly basis.
(b) Amended Operation Method:
The current "daily wage" operation method will remain unchanged for those with employment durations of less than one month.
For those with one month or more employment, the salary category should be "hourly wage," labor insurance should be on a monthly basis, and the actual working hours must not exceed the agreed total working hours, with the salary calculated based on attendance records.
After the operation amendment mentioned above, it will apply uniformly to temporary workers hired for all projects at the university. Please refer to the relevant system operation manual available for download on the Human Resources Office website (Project Personnel → Latest News).
